Oscars, os melhores momentos da noite

Pessoalmente, não achei a cerimónia em directo grande coisa este ano, um bocado vazia e até aborrecida. Até mesmo com o John Stewart como apresentador. Gostei da vitória dos Coen, apesar de sempre ter achado que 'There Will be Blood' ser o 'típico filme' da Academia... Bom sinal que os tempos estão a mudar, coisa que se tem notado nos últimos anos...

A noite, como já se sabe, foi dos irmãos Coen. Primeiro como vencedores do óscar de melhor argumento adaptado e com Javier Bardem a vencer justamente como melhor actor secundário, os irmãos acabam em beleza arrasando as categorias principais, melhor filme e melhor realizador.

O perdedor da noite não pode deixar de ser 'There Will be Blood', mesmo com Daniel Day Lewis a ganhar com favoritismo como melhor actor principal. Mas é nas categorias das actrizes onde surgiram as maiores surpresas da noite, Marion Cotillard em Le Mome e Tilda Swinton em Michael Clayton triunfaram nas categorias de melhor actriz principal e secundária respectivamente.

They're back!

Finalmente! A nova e aguardada season de Lost regressa hoje à ABC.

They thought they had met the enemy. They thought they had seen evil. They thought wrong. As the new season begins, the feeling that rescue is close at hand, the survivors don't know whether or not to believe Charlie's final message that the people claiming to liberate them are not who they seem to be. As unlikely alliances are formed, those they thought could be trusted may turn against them,as the enemy of their enemy becomes their friend. But who can be trusted? Nova aventura de 007 já tem nome

Quantum of Solace foi anunciado pela Sony Pictures como o título oficial do próximo filme de James Bond, que está agendado para estrear no final deste ano. O nome é tirado de uma mini história de Ian Fleming disponível no livro 'For Your Eyes Only' publicado em 1960.

Aqui fica a sinopse oficial de Quantum of Solace, que decorre logo após os acontecimentos de Casino Royale:
"Quantum of Solace" continues the high octane adventures of James Bond (Daniel Craig) in "Casino Royale."

Betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and M (Judi Dench) interrogate Mr White (Jesper Christensen) who reveals the organisation which blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.

Forensic intelligence links an Mi6 traitor to a bank account in Haiti where a case of mistaken identity introduces Bond to the beautiful but feisty Camille (Olga Kurylenko), a woman who has her own vendetta. Camille leads Bond straight to Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric), a ruthless business man and major force within the mysterious organisation.

On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers that Greene, conspiring to take total control of one of the world's most important natural resources, is forging a deal with the exiled General Medrano (Joaquin Cosio). Using his associates in the organisation, and manipulating his powerful contacts within the CIA and the British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in a Latin American country, giving the General control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land.

In a minefield of treachery, murder and deceit, Bond allies with old friends in a battle to uncover the truth. As he gets closer to finding the man responsible for the betrayal of Vesper, 007 must keep one step ahead of the CIA, the terrorists and even M, to unravel Greene's sinister plan and stop his organisation.

Também a ser exibido na edição deste ano do Fantas, Sukiyaki Western Django, o novo filme de Takashi Miike. Um 'spaghetti western asiático', tipo um misto de Akira Kurosawa e de Sergio Leone que promete... Aqui fica o trailer:

Os aclamados No Country for Old Men dos irmãos Coen e There Will Be Blood de Paul Thomas Anderson lideram nomeações para os Oscares.

Sarah Michelle Gellar no 'negro' país das maravilhas

Sarah Michelle Gellar irá interpretar Alice na adaptação em filme do jogo da EA 'American MacGee's Alice', versão dark, distorcida e sinistra do conto de Lewis Carroll.

Marcus Nispel, realizador do remake de Massacre no Texas é, actualmente, o nome indicado para o projecto.
